Welcome to Proper ID. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information across both iOS and Android platforms.
1. Overview
Proper ID is a utility application designed to help users create professional ID and passport photos. Our core philosophy is "Privacy by Design," meaning your sensitive biometric data (photos and face patterns) never leaves your device.
2. Photo and Face Data (100% On-Device)
We do NOT collect, store, or upload your photos or face data to any servers.
- Local Processing: All image processing—including background removal, face detection, and cropping—is performed entirely on your device. We leverage on-device machine learning technologies: Apple's Vision framework (on iOS) and Google’s ML Kit (on Android).
- No Cloud Storage: Your photos are processed in the temporary memory of your device and are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party cloud. We have zero access to your original photos or the final ID photos you create.
3. Anonymous User Feedback
When you voluntarily use our "Feature Request" or "Bug Report" functions, we collect limited, non-personally identifiable information to improve the app:
- Content: Suggestions or bug descriptions you provide.
- Diagnostic Metadata: Basic device info such as device model (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S23), OS version (e.g., iOS 17, Android 14), and app version.
- Strict Anonymity: We do not collect your name, email, or unique hardware identifiers (like UDID or IMEI). Feedback is treated as anonymous technical data.
4. Third-Party Services
We partner with trusted third-party providers for monetization and infrastructure:
- Google AdMob (Advertising): To keep the app free, AdMob may collect device identifiers to serve relevant ads.
- iOS: May use IDFA (if permitted via ATT).
- Android: May use Advertising ID (AD_ID).
- Infrastructure (Cloudflare & Notion): We use Cloudflare as a secure proxy and Notion as an internal database to store the anonymous feedback mentioned in Section 3. These providers cannot access your photos or face data.
