ViaPortal ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Core Privacy Principle: Local-Only Transfer
ViaPortal is a local file-sharing tool. We do not operate any cloud servers. All file and clipboard transfers occur exclusively within your local Wi-Fi network between your devices. Your files never leave your local network and are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party cloud.
2. Data Collection
- Files and Photos: We do not collect, view, or store your files or photos. We only facilitate the transfer process.
- Clipboard Data: We do not collect your clipboard content. It is only synced locally to your designated browser session.
- Device Information: We may identify your device type (e.g., Windows, Mac, Android) via User-Agent headers solely to provide a better visual connection experience. This data is temporary and never transmitted externally.
Feedback Information:
When you choose to send us feedback or report an issue via the app, we may collect technical information to help us diagnose problems, including:
- Device model
- Operating system version
- App version
This information is used solely for the purpose of technical support and improving app stability. It is not used to personally identify you or to track you across other apps or websites.
3. System Permissions
To provide its services, ViaPortal requires the following permissions:
- Local Network: Required to establish a connection between your iPhone and other devices in the same Wi-Fi environment.
- Photo Library: Required to allow you to select and send photos or save received photos to your gallery.
- Files System: Required to access documents you wish to transfer.
4. Third-Party Services (Advertising)
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain data (such as advertising IDs) to show personalized ads. You can manage your ad preferences in your iOS system settings. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for more details.
